Cochem is located between a hill and the Moselle river.
It’s a historical town with half timbered houses and Medieval walls. It’s so beautiful, and you’ll feel like stepped into the world of Grimm’s fairy tales…
It’s known as a place where producing excellent wine called Moselle wine. You should have some wine from there.

中世の城壁が残る城下町の愛らしい木造の家並み、まるでグリム童話の世界に迷い込んだかのような気分になります。
モーゼル地方はワインの産地としても有名。ぜひともモーゼル白ワインを味わいましょう。
Reichsburg Cochem
コッヘム城
The original Cochem Castle built prominently on a hill 300 feet above the Moselle River, served to collect tolls from passing ships, before its destruction by the French in 1689.
Over the years, Cochem Castle today is not the originally stood there in the 12th century, but it’s like a castle museum. You’ll learn the local history and you can see a lot of interesting antiques, hidden room like “Ninja house” and so on, with 40 mins English guide tour.
Even if you decide to skip the tour, you should walk up to the top of the hill. You’ll find the amazing scenery from there. It takes about 20 minutes from the center of town.
モーゼル川から300メール丘の上に建つコッヘム城。
1689年フランス軍に破壊されるまでは、川を行き交う船の関所としての役割を果たしていたんだそう。
12世紀に建てられた城を改修し、現在はお城ミュージアムとして公開されています。40分のガイドツアー（英語・ドイツ語）では、コッヘム城の歴史や生活、アンティークの調度品、まるで忍者屋敷のような部屋の仕掛けについてなど、たっぷりとお話を聞くことができます。
ガイドツアーに参加しなくてもお城の入り口まで自力で登るのは無料。町の中心から約20分ほどかけて登り坂を上がると…。
コッヘムの美しい街並みと悠々と流れるモーゼル川を一望することができますよ。

Cochem is the nearest sight seeing town from Nürburgring. You can enjoy 1day trip of course, but we recommend you to stay here at least a night.
コッヘムはニュルブルクリンクから一番近い観光地と言えるでしょう。日帰り旅行に最適ですが、できれば1泊の滞在がおすすめです。丘の上に幻想的に輝くコッヘム城も見ていただきたい。
